Juvenile Court Records
Juvenile case file records, including documents and information maintained by the Department of Child, Family, and Adult Services and the Probation Department, are confidential and may not be obtained or inspected by civil or criminal subpoena. All persons and agencies seeking access to juvenile records in the court’s possession must follow the rules and procedures outlined in Standing Order SSC-JV-99-021.
We are accepting appointments for public viewing of case files for persons authorized to view or obtain copies of documents pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code section 827.
Dependency Records
Ninety (90) minute appointments are available Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the William R. Ridgeway Family Relations Courthouse, 3441 Power Inn Road, Sacramento, CA 95826

Juvenile Justice Records

Service of Documents
If you are not a party in the juvenile case and wish to view juvenile court records, you must ask for a judge's permission. Welfare and Institution code, section 827. Follow the instructions in California Rule of Court 5.552 and Standing Order SSCJV-99-021.
